Clatth was born and raise in New York City. He is currently studying at Wheaton College, Norton, Massachusetts. He created the artist name Clatth due to the shortness and anonymity. Clatth first made his appearance on, January 22, the day he decided to create his Instagram page. Ever since then he decided to display his artwork online and throughout the journey he gained the confidence to finally pull back the curtains. His real name is Emmanuel Leal.
During the process of finding his style, he used his different life experiences and wrestling for influence. In college he decided to take a course on the art of Mesoamerica. Through the discovery of his roots, he decided to gain inspiration from his ancestry. His family, traditions, and heritage can all be traced back to Mexico. As he continue to explore his roots, he attempts to create artwork that represent where he came from.
Currently, he has been taking an interest in creating digital art though the use of Procreate. He is also attempting to teach himself how to spray paint in the hopes of one day creating a mural. He aspire to create his own company and wishes that one day his art can be displayed in everyday life.
